The Art Nouveau Range
Art Nouveau was a movement that started on the continent around 1895 and was very popular at the turn of the century. It was seen by many to be new, modern and progressive which summed up the mood of the time.
The style is characterised by delicate, graceful and sinuous lines that
were based on floral and botanical sources and flowed freely over the surfaces
they were meant to decorate.
Tublined and machine moulded relief tiles played an important part of Art
Nouveau tile production. The areas between their raised lines could be filled
with the richly coloured translucent glazes.
Abstract Art Nouveau motifs help to create an opulent feel in a room whether
grouped together or used individually. Many of the tiles we produce today
are original designs of the period and the techniques used in manufacture
have changed very little to create these stunning tiles.
In addition to the decorative tiles listed below, Ribbed Slips and Dados that are specific to this range are also available.
